Inuzuka

Clan Foundator: Unknown
Clan Name: Inuzuka
Village: Village hidden in the Leaf
Physical Traits: The Inuzuka tend to be thin, dark-haired people with slit-like pupils, large canine teeth and long, thick fingers. Universal to clan members, though not natural, are two red fang-shaped tattoos engraved on the cheek, just above the jawbone. These are given to children of the clan when they learn to walk, considered the age at which the child is likely to survive into adulthood. Larger, more intricate tattoos are awarded to shinobi of the clan as they progress through the ranks, but even non-shinobi will bear the Inuzuka fangs.

Clan Description: The Inuzuka is the clan left behind. Eternally in the shadows of the two mightiest clans in Konohagakure, the Uchiha and the Hyuuga, the disreputable Inuzuka have taken to a policy of extroversion, forcing themselves into the affairs of the city and rewarding their members who choose to follow the way of the shinobi. Few foreigners will recognize the clan, despite their vividly distinct mannerisms, and the only fame they enjoy is among other beast-using clans. In that realm the Inuzuka still reign supreme, seen as the rival to beat by many of the great animal-clans of the world. In the
wake of the attack by Otogakura and Sunagakure, the common opinion among the Leaf shinobi is that the city was depleted, especially with the loss of their final remaining Uchiha. This opinion is considered a direct insult by the Inuzuka, who see the combined strength of the Hyuuga and Inuzuka clans as more than enough to sustain the city. Few others seem to share this opinion, however, dismissing the Inuzuka as freely now
as they did when the Uchiha carried the city through peaceful times.

Internally, the clan has known nothing but unity since the times of the Second Hokage. Looked down on by the greater clans of the village and ignored by the administration since the Third, the members of this 'second-rate' clan typically have only each other to which to look for support and friendship. They have
their own internal hierarchy, with the strongest of the clan serving as Chieftain and the wisest governing beneath him as the Elders. Crimes and civil issues are typically resolved within the clan, with ANBU and law-enforcement personnel often turned away at the border of the clan's territory. Many holidays and festivals are held only by the Inuzuka, with an extremely select group of outsiders discreetly invited. The most
important of these, the Nidaime Celebration, is held annually to celebrate the birth of the Second Hokage. Even non-Inuzuka spouses of clan members are forbidden to attend; only trueborn members of the clan may join in the celebration, though the entire village can hear their music once the celebration begins.

The official census of Konohagakure lists 221 members
of the Inuzuka clan, most of them less than twenty years old. This is genuinely absurd, of course, there being less than one hundred Inuzuka in the village, but the number remains unchanged. The Inuzuka will not suffer disrespect to their dogs, seen as equals in their eyes, and insist that they be counted and treated as individuals in all respects. An Inuzuka shinobi will typically receive his or her first canine battle partner at the age of ten, seen as a rite of passage in the clan.
Inuzuka dogs are bred for unmatched intelligence and longevity, most living past twenty years of age and some past thirty. An Inuzuka shinobi will be given a new combat dog every ten years, sometimes accumulating three or even four dogs at a time. Dog-nin are difficult to properly breed and are highly prized. Thus, a shinobi receives a new battle partner only as a gift, from friends or neighbors, to prevent a corner on the market.
Any foreign shinobi that recognize a lone Inuzuka will do so by the red fang-shaped tattoos on their cheeks, trademark of the clan and their most distinguishing feature. More tattoos are traditionally given to male Inuzuka as they gain promotions and status, sprawling out from the chest and reaching to the arms, back, and
legs. The size, shape, and quality of these tattoos are points of pride to the men of the clan, making Inuzuka tattoo artists quit rich and revered even by those outside of the clan. Women don't traditionally receive status tattoos, most considering them too audacious or simply too masculine. They are not prevented from displaying their rank through body art, however, and a few notable exceptions to the rule have proven thus.

Clan History: The Inuzuka began as wild men, half-sentient savages that saw themselves as feral as the wolves with which they ran. Native to the forests of the Country of Fire, they were still attacking enemies with sharpened sticks while the Hyuuga clan was perfecting the Divine Spin maneuver. It was the work of a single man, whose only name was Kietsu, which
eventually brought the scattered nomads together into a single clan. When Kietsu was a grown man a new threat, the Ashineko clan, began to hunt the wild dogs of the Country of Fire and slaughter any wild men found in their presence. Kietsu saw the order and direction with which the unified clan operated and was amazed. He rallied the surviving dogs and men and led them in a sweeping annihilation of the Ashineko. Once they had finished this task and secured their existence,
the followers of Kietsu remained in the small, but comfortable village that the Ashineko had built for themselves near the northern border of the Country of Fire, where the forest thickened as it was fed by natural springs.

Kietsu led the cabal in its efforts for survival until his death when his son, Kietsuno Inuzuka, took control. Inuzuka was a thinking man, better suited to diplomacy
than battle, and he quickly realized the benefits of forming a singular force and aligning that force with other clans. He established the men and their dogs, who lived in the village along with them, as the Inu clan and went with his partner Shimaru to speak with the leaders of the strongest clans of the time, the Aburame and the Hyuuga. He informed them of the existence of the Inu clan, demonstrated some of their primitive fighting tactics and their ability to speak with the canid,
to varying results. None denied that they were a true clan, with distant relations evident and clear stylings to unite the whole, but few believed that they had potential to rise above the countless other clans struggling to establish themselves.

It is said among the Inuzuka that, during this journey, the art of tattooing became known to Inuzuka. His people had long spread the blood of their fallen
enemies on their faces as proof of their might, letting it set as long as it would to keep the color in their cheeks. Learning of the inkwork of the eastern clans brought Inuzuka great joy, and he brought the technology back with him to his clansmen. Thus began the tradition of inking the faces of the young that establish their strength.

Inuzuka and Shimaru returned to their small town thinking themselves failures. No other clan had decided to align themselves with the Inu, and he had learned of the existence of a hundred other clans more powerful than his own. There, convinced of their own disastrous failure, Shimaru and Inuzuka died their respective deaths of old age, living out the last of their days
among their clansmen.

Several years following the deaths of Kietsuno Inuzuka and Shimaru, a messenger came upon his followers with a summons to a new city of shinobi, the Village Hidden in Leaves. Aparently, some members of the Aburame clan had made note of Inuzuka and his abilities some time ago and told the city's founder, the
Hokage, that a bestial clan may be useful. The summons called for the "Clan of Inuzuka" to report to the city for negotiations regarding their permanent relocation. Taking up the new name "Inuzuka" in honor of their dead hero, the clan migrated south to Konohagakure and joined with the Hokage.

After decades of experimenting with the shinobi tactics they learned in their new city, the Inuzuka had
progressed little from their original methods. Their weapons were improved and they employed new, powerful chakra control techniques, but no real definitive style had emerged among the clan. With the passing of the First Hokage came a revelation for the clan. The new Hokage, known as Nidaime, was a relative of the clan from the first generation to be born inside of Konohagakure, and he held a special place in his heart for his sire-clan. Working with his incredible
skill and vast influence, he taught the Inuzuka advanced techniques to employ as beast-users, taijutsu artists, and as the savage men they knew they were. In one generation, their power increased tenfold.

With the passing of the Second and the reign of the Third, the Inuzuka once again fell into obscurity. The Uchiha, a relatively young clan, gained favor quickly with their unstoppable doujutsu, the Sharingan. Just
behind them were the Hyuuga, long established as the oldest and most sophisticated clan in the country. The Inuzuka seemed insignificant, possessing nothing that could not be outmatched by another clan; the Aburame were superior strategists, the Hyuuga were the great taijutsu artists of the village, and none dared challenge the sheer destructive force of the Akimichi. Even with the depletion of the village by the Sound and Sand, little is expected from the backwater dog clan. Their
history of reigning from third place has yet to be broken.

Bloodline: The Inuzuka do not possess bloodline techniques, per se, but several abilities are innate to clan members. Every Inuzuka, shinobi and civilian alike, has the ability to speak and understand the language of dogs, wolves and foxes. This is not a taught ability, nor is it truly
instinct. The bond between the animals and men is mysterious, but its effects are obvious. Man and beast can communicate in battle, devising strategies within plain hearing of their enemies, and give nothing away.

The chakra system of Inuzuka widens near the nose and ears, increasing the strength of these senses by several times. By concentrating their chakra in these areas, Inuzuka shinobi can enhance these senses even
further, resulting in hearing that is hundreds of times more powerful than a normal humans and a sense of smell that one thousand times as powerful as is normal. Inversely, advanced shinobi can learn to drain chakra from these areas, dulling their own senses in times of panic or excess stimuli.

Clan Techniques

Academy Level Techniques:

Name: Canid Speak [Inugo]
Rank: Academy Student
Element: None
Type: Ninjutsu
Description: All Inuzuka, civilian and shinobi alike, have the ability to speak and understand the language of dogs, wolves and foxes plainly. This can be used at any time and is considered to be just as accurate and concise as normal speech.

Name: Lockjaw [Hashoufuu]
Rank: Academy Student
Element: None
Type: Taijutsu
Description: A simple technique in which the user bites the opponent and, with a token amount of chakra, forces their mouth closed. Though this is difficult to set up properly, it can be devastating at higher levels and will eventually break bones.

Genin Level Techniques:

Name: Sucker Punch [Sentou Kyuuban]
Rank: Genin
Element: None
Type: Taijutsu
Description: A basic but very potent technique designed to cause a token amount of damage and catch an enemy off-guard. After spotting or creating a small opening in the
defenses of the enemy during taijutsu, the user simply throws a single punch into an inactive part of the opponent's body. This is usually the stomach, chest, hips or throat, and it's often enough to stun an enemy long enough to back away or deliver a second, more powerful attack. Part of the Inuzuka clan taijutsu.

Name: Beast Mimicry: Four Legs Technique [Shikyaku no Jutsu]
Rank: Genin
Element: None
Type: Ninjutsu
Description: An Inuzuka enhancement technique that curves the user's spine, allowing them to stand, walk, run and fight on all fours. This drastically increases the speed
with which the user can move and attack, allowing even genin to move too fast for low-level shinobi to see.

Name: Beast Mimicry: Nature's Tools Technique [Yajuugu no Jutsu]
Rank: Genin
Element: None
Type: Ninjutsu
Description: An enhancement ninjutsu that grants the user longer nails, which harden into claws; longer canine teeth, large enough to do damage but not prevent the jaw
from opening; and a wider, more bestial face to facilitate their use.

Name: Beast Man Clone [Juujin Buunshin]
Rank: Genin
Element: None
Type:
Ninjutsu
Description: This technique requires handseals. Transformation ninjutsu that transform both Inuzuka user and canine battle partner into semi-human clones. This is a physical change only- nonverbal dogs will not gain the power of
speech, and once one of the combatants is knocked out the effect is cancelled (for that combatant only). Both
user and dog gain the benefits of Beast Mimicry: Four Legs Technique and Beast Mimicry: Nature's Tools Technique.

Name: Piercing Fang [Tsuuga]
Rank: Genin
Element: None
Type: Taijutsu
Description: Low-level Inuzuka taijutsu that sends the user into a chaotic, violent spin. Though mere contact with this is
dangerous and extremely painful, a direct hit from the
user delivers immense damage. Young Inuzuka can rend flesh and induce heavy bleeding. Inuzuka taijutsu specialists can rip opponents apart with a direct hit, severing muscles and tearing at organs. Though the attack can be blocked by those with outstanding strength, the damage taken while blocking is only slightly less than that taken from a standard hit.
Though the user becomes fearsome at close range and able to deflect most projectiles in this state, the Piercing Fang maneuver lowers his range of vision and makes him vulnerable to ninjutsu. Part of the Inuzuka clan taijutsu.

Chuunin Level
Techniques

Name: Two-Headed Wolf Transformation [Soutourou]
Rank: Chuunin
Element: None
Type:
Ninjutsu
Description: This technique requires handseals. A combination-transformation technique that allows the user and a single canine battle partner to transform into a significantly larger two-headed wolf. Wolf-form endows
the user with enormous strength, outstanding speed, and the biological weapons associated with larger claws, two massive jaws, and highly acidic bodily fluids.

Name: Double Wolf Fang [Garouga]
Rank:
Chuunin
Element: None
Type: Taijutsu
Description: The ultimate form of the Piercing Fang technique, this combines the Tsuuga's ability to deal pain with the
fearsome strength of the Two-Headed Wolf. The rotation speed of the user increases to an astounding level, reducing his visibility to nearly zero but forming shock waves that damage anything that comes within range. A minor graze from this technique is enough to cause serious injury, and a direct hit will put an end to just about any fight. Because of the limited visibility maintained by this technique and the large amount of
white noise generated by the user, smell is the only sense by which a target can be tracked.

Name: Advanced Senses [Ishiki Seiei no Jutsu]
Rank:
Chuunin
Element: None
Type: Ninjutsu
Description: Charges the Inuzuka user's nose and ears with chakra, elevating their hearing and sense of smell to hundreds of times those of a normal human being. This makes the Inuzuka vulnerable to powerful, offensive stimuli, but increases their detection range and response time in battle dramatically.

Special Jounin Level
Techniques

Name: Wild Grip Technique [Nigiri Arai no Jutsu]
Rank: Special Jounin
Element: None
Type: Genjutsu
Description: This technique requires handseals. Among the few genjutsu of the Inuzuka clan, Nature's Grip gives the target the illusion that the surrounding natural features
(trees, animals, grass, even rivers) have turned against them in favor of the user, striking out as though animate. The true use of this technique is that the user can control the illusion, using it to guide the target into position or stop an advance. The target will feel real pain if struck, but no damage is dealt and knockouts are rare.

Name: Vanishing Quarry Technique [Mokuhyou Kieusemasu]
Rank: Special Jounin
Element: None
Type: Ninjutsu
Description: With their advanced knowledge of the wild and its elusive animals, an Inuzuka can learn to contain his chakra signature, soften his footfalls, and even contain his own smell for a short period of time. Anyone attempting to tack or follow the user of this technique
would find nothing to betray their position or direction, just as if they had vanished during the hunt. This can only be maintained for a little while, but it is a worthy fox-trick that will throw off many of the most devoted pursuers. The only possible method of following the user would be with the Hyuuga Byakugan, which could spot the user visually or, if the Byakugan user is of very
high level, follow the Inuzuka's footprints.

Name: Muffled World Technique [Yochi Seishuku no Jutsu]
Rank: Special Jounin
Element:
None
Type: Ninjutsu
Description: This technique requires handseals. A panic technique that drains the user's ears and nose of chakra, the Muffled World Technique prevents sensory overload in situations of intense stimuli. Because of the unique
design of the Inuzuka chakra circulatory system, which emphasizes the nose and ears, this technique requires actual effort to bring about and maintain.

Inuzuka Clan Empty
PostSubject: Re: Inuzuka Clan   Inuzuka Clan EmptySat Dec 18, 2010 6:04 pm

Jounin Level Techniques

Name: Focused Truth Technique [Shinsou no Jutsu]
Rank: Jounin
Element: None
Type: Ninjutsu
Description: An alternative to Kai, the Focused Truth technique charges the user's senses with chakra, an Inuzuka method to multiply surrounding stimuli. Normal genjutsu will eventually betray some flaw in their design or execution, some subtle inconsistency of perspective that cannot be removed. The genjutsu is quickly dispelled, but for the brief moment this technique is active any sensory images the genjutsu created will become extremely intense. What effect this will have on the user ranges from discomfort to sensory overload. This technique will not work on genjutsu that require direct contact with the user or are cast through music, which tend to be more complete and powerful, or the various genjutsu of the Sharingan. User must realize that genjutsu is present before usage.

Name:
Tendon Rip Technqiue [Kenkatsu no Jutsu]
Rank: Jounin
Element: None
Type:
Taijutsu
[color=orange]Description:le yet difficult taijutsu technique, the Tendon Rip is demonstrative of the Inuzuka view of opponents: anything goes. When behind the opponent, the user charges his own claws with chakra and rends the flesh behind his opponent's knee. Though the tendons of the leg are not completely severed and will heal in a few hours with ijutsu, the target is badly damaged and notably slowed if this technique is executed properly.
Over-use of the damaged limb will result in furthering
the damage. Part of the Inuzuka-style taijutsu.

[color=orange]S-rank Level Techniques

Name:
Great Maw of Omotaimaru [Omotaimaru-sama no Hairiguchi Ooinaru]
Rank: S-rank
Element: None
Type: Ninjutsu / Kinjutsu
Description: This technique requires handseals. A powerful ninjutsu that causes surrounding leaves and foliage to gather together in the form of a great dog's head. The figure is massive, at least twenty meters high, and is known to the Inuzuka as the Great Omotaimaru-sama. The great mouth of the dog is its main weapon, used to capture, grind, and hurl the target to the ground before the
entire form simply crashes like a great green wave onto the enemy. This mighty technique is rarely employed for its power and complexity, but when it is finally unleashed it turns nature's fury onto whatever poor soul warranted its use. The kinjutsu, requires nearby organic matter (plant life, fallen wood, etc.)

Name:
Beast Mimicry: Thurmaturge Technique [Ookamimeijin]
Rank: S-rank
Element: None
Type: Ninjutsu / Kinjutsu
Description:Also known as the "Blind Werewolf Technique" (usually by those less familiar with the clan), this is the ultimate in Inuzuka enhancement transformation. The Thurmaturge transformation infuses the user and a single canine partner in a way that is far more compact and far more efficient than the Double-Headed Wolf, creating a human-sized form that is a perfectly equal blend of man and beast. Though definitely upright and obviously intelligent, the new form sports limbs and ears similar to those of a dog and is covered in insufferably thick hair, lending this technique its name. The user's claws and canines grow, but the most drastic change involves the rising cheekbones of the creature, which completely block out both eye sockets and force the user to rely on scent, smell and touch to fight. While this would normally be a disadvantage, the
Thurmaturge form is precisely created to enhance the Inuzuka's secondary senses even further, making their perception of the world around them arguably better than when in normal form. All scents and sounds are easily detected and, in extreme cases, filtered. The user's new form is faster, stronger, and by far more durable than any other bestial form from the Inuzuka, making this the ultimate donation of power by the cla of dogs.
